The Crossroads League offices honored Taylor's Elaine Schmeltz and Naomi Grablowski with the weekly women's track and field awards.

Led by a record-setting performance from Elaine Schmeltz the Taylor women's track and field team opened its outdoor season at the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis on Saturday.

Freshman Anna Meyer capped off a strong indoor track season with a ninth place finish in the 3,000 meter run on the final day of the NAIA Indoor National Championships.

Junior Elaine Schmeltz posted a time of 5:06.25, finishing just shy of advancing to the finals in the mile run.
